Before I Turn 30: A Letter To My Current Self

Hey Boo Hey! Today I am hitting you Babes with the second installment of my Before I Turn 30 series. As I stated before, I am adding a little fashion into this series, and today’s look goes perfectly with the advice I have for my present day self… don’t blend in, stand out. This rainbow jumpsuit is bright, beautiful, and commands the attention of everyone in the room. My friends over at Posh Shoppe sent me this beauty just in time for my birthday festivities. Now keep reading, and check out what I had to say to 29 year old Faith.

Dear Faith,

In just 6 days you will turning 30. I know it was hard, but you did it. You put your life back together in the midst of all you’ve lost. I always knew you could do it, and I am so glad you proved me right! To say I am proud of you would be an understatement. You are more courageous, confident, and independent than I ever thought you would be. You are everything your mother dreamed you to be, and everything your father told you you would be.

As you turn thirty I want you to know this is your time. I have no doubt you are about to walk into your season. Be fearless. Be fierce. Demand your place in this world. More than anything Faith I want you to not be afraid to be great. Take chances. Follow your dreams. Even if you fail you will have made some amazing memories to look back on when your an old woman sitting on your porch drinking sweet tea. Step out on faith and pursue as many of your dreams as you can. Never miss out on the opportunity to do anything that will put a smile on your face. You have seen more than your fair share of bad days so I want you to do everything in your power to make everyday from here on out a good day. Listen to your heart, and stop being so stubborn and bratty. Never try to blend in or fade into the background. You were born to stand out. You were born to be great.

Faith, you no longer have a reason to look back. You no longer have a reason to feel sorry for yourself. Don’t allow your past to make you feel bad or sad. You have grown into a strong, ambitious woman who deserves nothing but happiness. You are human so moments of insecurity and sadness will sometimes creep in, but when they do just look at your life now, and all the progress you have made. You survived the storm.  P.S. Were you surprised to see who you are dating now? I know I was!
