Valentine’s Day Style: 9 to 5

“Tumble outta bed and I stumble to the kitchen Pour myself a cup of ambition
Yawn and stretch and try to come to life Jump in the shower and the blood starts pumpin’ Out on the street the traffic starts jumpin’ with folks like me on the job from 9 to 5!” -Dolly Parton

Hey Boo Hey! Last week I asked my IG followers what plans they had for Valentine’s Day and most of you Babes said work. Although that’s not the most glamourous place to spend the holiday, I think we should still put in a little effort to be cute, don’t you? Yall are my people so I know yall agree with me. I’ve been trying to jazz up my work outfits lately and Valentine’s Day is the perfect time to wear some of the new stuff I got. If you remember a few months back I did a post about LOFT adding plus sizes and how excited I was about the announcement. Fast forward to now, and the line has officially launched! If you thought I was happy about the announcement you should have seen my excitement when my friends over at LOFT sent me some goodies from the new plus size line! Check out which LOFT items I plan on wearing to work on Valentine’s Day!

Every since I was a little girl I’ve always dressed up on holidays. Whether it was wearing a green hair bow on St. Patrick’s Day or tights with little red hearts on Valentine’s Day, my mom always made sure I had on something festive. Keeping up with the tradition, I normally wear something pink or red to work on Valentine’s Day. When I saw this crimson A-line skirt I knew it would be perfect for the holiday. It’s so adorable, and it reminds me of the skirts I wore as a kid with its front zipper and hook and bar closure. I know a lot of you will ask so let me go ahead and ease your mind. LOFT did an amazing job with sizing. Everything that I have received is true to size. This skirt is made of a rich stretch doubleface fabric that makes it really comfortable and easy to move in. I am a fan of bows so I really like the waist tie, but it is removable which gives you the option to add a belt. I decided to pair it with this golden yellow, ballet neck blouse to add a little color blocking flavor. The polished, pleated cuffs on this shirt are so adorable. This top is definitely one you can wear to work, and out on weekends. Its that all purpose blouse we all need in our closets. The thing that ties this entire look together is my floral booties. I’ve been eyeballing these boots for months and I finally bit the bullet and bought them. I added my go-to denim jacket to complete my look. Are you dressing up for work on Valentine’s Day? Comment below and let me know!

Be sure to check out my look along with a ton of other goodies over at LOFT! The entire plus size line can be found here!
