Valentine’s Day Style: Count on Me

Count on me through thick and thin, A friendship that will never end. When you are weak I will be strong, Helping you to carry on. Call on me, I will be there. -Whitney Houston

Hey Boo Hey! I am trying something different today and bringing you all something new, a style series. From now until February 14th I will be posting some Valentine worthy looks to help you all find the exact fit no matter what your Valentine’s Day plans are. Whether spending the day and treating yourself to a movie, going out with friends, or having date night with Bae I have you covered! I am so excited to be doing this and I cant wait for you Babes to see all these BOMB looks. I wanted to add a little something extra so I will be combining my love for fashion with my love for music! Each post in this series will be titled after one of my favorite R&B songs that fits the theme of the outfit. Cute, right!?! I hope you guys enjoy reading this as much as I did putting it all together. Now lets jump right into it with a look perfect for girls night out!

It seems like our Christmas decor wasn’t tucked away tightly before stores starting filling their aisles with teddy bears and heart-shaped boxes of chocolate. Seeing all the red and pink hearts got me to thinking about all my Valentine’s Day plans. While me and my Honey are already making plans for Valentine’s day, I can’t forget about some of the other very important people in my life, my girl squad. Most people think Valentine’s Day can only be celebrated if you have a significant other, but I think its a day to celebrate whoever you love. I recently learned of a holiday called Galentine’s Day, and I thought it was the cutest thing ever. This holiday falls on February 13th and is a day for women to celebrate each other. Its the perfect time for you an your girls to get together and reminisce over old times, listen to and  support each others crazy ideas and dreams, and talk about how much you adore each other. While putting together my outfits for this series I felt I had to incorporate a look that would be fun, cute, and perfect for Galentine’s Day festivities. When I saw this sweatshirt I thought it was such a fun piece! The contrast fur sleeves gives it personality and style. It features a raw hem and is somewhat cropped, but nothing major. I wasn’t in a crop top kind of mood, so I paired it with some black high-waist jeans. I always like to wear statement necklaces with crew necks so I added this cute necklace I picked up at Wal-Mart for $5! This look was so much fun to create and I can’t until the 13th to get together with my girls, some drinks, and of course an overflow of laughs.

What are your thoughts on my first look of the series? Comment Below and let me know!
